We are very proud to announce that Trilogis is now part of the Urban Planning Domain Working Group, set up by OGC (Open Geospatial Consortium). OGC is an international consortium which aim to define geospatial and LBS (Location BAsed Sercies) standards.
The members of this DWG are:
Martin Ford, GiStandards | John Herring, Oracle USA | Giuseppe Conti, Trilogis | Jeanne Foust, ESRI USA | Leif Granholm, Trimble |
The purpose is to create international standards about urban planning, focussing on the concept of Smart City, adopting technologies like:
- Indoor/outdoor routing (i-locate EU Project)
- Smart Grid
- Augmented Reality
- OGC SWE, Sensor Web Enablement
- LBS, Location Based Services
- IoT, Internet of Things
- Big Data Analytics
It’s a long time we work in the field of urban plans (here an article about a credits of last year), thus it is a privilege for us to participate in the definition of standards.

Intanto è di ieri la notizia di un nuovo traguardo per Trilogis, azienda insediata nel polo tecnologico di Rovereto. A pochi giorni dal «Nasa World Wind Challenge 2014», ritirato il 17 giugno scorso, grazie al sistema eLocust3D, il software open source «anti-locuste», arriva la notizia che Trilogis è entrata a far parte del gruppo di lavoro «Urban Planning» costituito dall’Open Geospatial Consortium, l’organizzazione internazionale incaricata di definire gli standard per i dati geospaziali.
